The government veterinary hospital was also approved for Basahi, he said.
Addressing a public meeting at Kaithi and Semraha Gram Panchayat Singh said that a sum of Rs 61 lakh was sanctioned for the construction of water tank and pipe lines under Deeha drinking water project.
A government veterinary hospital was also approved for the convenience of farmers in Basahi. The construction of the veterinary hospital would start in August, he added.
The under-construction bridge near Panasa Chowki Ghat would also be completed by next year, he added.
Singh said that he had an emotional bond with the residents of Karchhana as they elected him for the Vidhan Sabha.
The region had a large number of Samajwadi Party followers. “During the election the BSP, the Congress and the BJP leaders used all the political gimmicks to defeat me. But could not succeed due to loyalty shown by the people of Karchhana,” he said.
Criticising the policy of Mayawati, Singh said that she was actually daughter of ‘Daulat’ and not ‘Dalit’. She was least concerned about the problem of Dalit people and leading a luxurious life, he said.
The meeting was presided over by Ramasray Yadav and conducted by Durgesh Pandey.
