Hfiz Yusuf has been an active worker of SIMI and has played significant role in collecting funds for the outfit, sources told PTI. He has been working in a mobile shop in Indore.

Cases have been registered against him for illegal activities and aiding anti-national elements, police said.

The police had arrested 13 top SIMI activists, on March 27, including its state chief Safdar Nagori. They were remanded to police custody till April 11.

Police claimed that during narco-tests, Nagori had given valuable information on the Mumbai train blasts.

Nagori and two other top activists Qamaruddin Nagori and Aamil Pervez were taken to Bangalore for narco-tests few days back to ascertain truth behind Mumbai train blasts and other terror strikes in the country.
