"Media, by the speculative reports, is only creating more confusion than is necessary. I request you to please observe restraint," he told reporters outside Parliament House when asked about details of the surrender of Rajkhowa.

Refusing to give any details, Chidambaram said whatever he wanted to say on the issue, he had said in Parliament yesterday, "and whatever I need to say, I will say at the appropriate moment."

When External Affairs Minister S M Krishna was asked to 'clear the confusion', he said "If there is any confusion, it has to be set right on the floor of the House".
