He said that while the Communist parties were extending support to the UPA government, they were trying to show that they were the real well- wishers of the common people.

Tripathi along with national general secretary of the party Sanjay Joshi was here to participate in the party workers’ regional meeting. The meeting was convened to review the party’s preparation for upcoming assembly election and the senior party leaders were directed to constitute a 10-member committee at booth-level and another 10-member committee at the assembly- level to activate the party.

Party’s state vice-president Surya Pratap Shahi, former MP Rajnarain Pasi, divisional president of the party Lallan Tripathi, former cabinet minister Shivpratap Shukla and many others were present at the meeting.

Talking to mediapersons, Tripathi criticized the Mulayam Singh Yadav led state government for its failure on all fronts.

According to a recent reply of Chief Minister in assembly 34 districts of the state became sensitive where ISI has spread its wing.

Tripathi said that Chief Minister Mulayam Singh decided to constitute a task force to monitor the Indo-Nepal border. It indicated that the government had admitted that the ISI activities were spreading its wing through Nepal.

He further said that Gorakhpur had become a hub for illegal Bangladeshi nationals and the SP leaders were trying to register their names in electorate list.

Demanding a CBI inquiry into the communal violence in Aligarh, Tripathi levelled serious allegations against the government and said that the government had maintained double standard in granting the compensation to the riod victims. He cited the examples of serial bomb blasts at Sankat Mochan temple in Varanasi and said that the state government had allocated Rs 2 lakh as compensation for the family members of the people who have died in the incident while in Aligarh Rs 5 lakh compensation was granted to the family members of the victims.

Responding to a question, Tripathi laid stress on the need for reviving the creamy layer. He said even the people of backward class and dalit community were not getting full advantage of the reservation. He said that the BJP was in favour of the reservation on economic basis.
