Troubled aces
Barkha Dutt has brought into focus not only the Congress?s political naivety and lack of crisis-management in the party, but also the UPA government?s dubious intentions (Play your aces carefully, March 29).
Barkha Dutt has brought into focus not only the Congress’s political naivety and lack of crisis-management in the party, but also the UPA government’s dubious intentions (Play your aces carefully, March 29). Delhi grounded
Ajay Maken is attempting to push through an ordinance that will allow all ground floor houses to be converted into shops (New land use rules notified, March 29). The way this entire episode is progressing, peaceful living conditions in Delhi will be a thing of the past.

Blind faith
One can only pity the people of Rae Bareli for the warm welcome to Sonia Gandhi with posters and banners (On her turf, Sonia cries war, March 29). The uneducated do not comprehend that the ‘sacrifice’ was forced, and thus holds no ‘renunciation’ value.
At the same time, the government can’t be pardoned for not knowing the rules before appointing Sonia as chairperson of the NAC.

The Kotla ODI against England belonged to Harbhajan Singh. He converted an out-of-hand match into a thrilling win with his bowling. The coach should now consider sending him to play higher up in the batting order.

Police breakdown
The ease with which the main accused in the Mehar Bhargav murder case disappeared is a replay of the Jessica Lall case. It reflects the dismal working of the police. It is the joint duty of the police and the judiciary to bring the trigger-happy criminals to justice promptly.
