The vexed super-sub rule would be out of the scenario during the three-match one day series between Pakistan and hosts Sri Lanka.

According to a Pakistan Cricket Board release on Monday, its Lankan counterpart has agreed to the proposal of doing away with this rule.

"Sri Lanka Cricket has agreed to Pakistan Cricket Board's proposal for a gentlemen's agreement not to use super-subs during the forthcoming Sri Lanka-Pakistan One Day International Series," it said.

Pakistan plays three ODI matches in Colombo on March 17, 19 and 21 before playing Tests there (March 24-28) and in Kandy (April 1-5).
