FORMER CHAIRMAN and member of the Bar Council of Uttar Pradesh, Shashi Kant Gupta, welcomed the appointment of SMA Kazmi as the new Advocate-General of Uttar Pradesh.

Gupta said Kazmi was an eminent lawyer with great sense of legal tradition and professional excellence with utmost adherence to professional ethics and propriety. He was also known for his progressive vision, simplicity, modesty and total dedication to the cause of the common man, he said.Gupta further said that Kazmi was an example of humility and simplicity. Legal fraternity would ever remain indebted to the chief minister for appointing Kazmi as the new A-G.

Meanwhile, city vice-president of SP Mahboob Usmani said Kazmi’s appointment had enhanced the dignity of the city of Allahabad.
