Murali Vijay to miss IPL 2017; Ravindra Jadeja, Umesh Yadav set to miss start
Murali Vijay has been ruled out of the tournament due to a shoulder injury while Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav will miss the opening games for their respective teams.
India and Kings XI Punjab opener Murali Vijay will miss the 2017 season of the Indian Premier League (IPL) due to wrist and shoulder injuries. According to a BCCI release, Vijay will undergo surgery on his right wrist and left shoulder.

Vijay will join his India teammates KL Rahul and Ravichandran Ashwin, both of whom will be on the sidelines for the entire tournament.
While Rahul will undergo surgery for a shoulder injury that he sustained in the Australia series, Ashwin underwent scans in Mumbai after the Dharamsala Test for a sports hernia.
On the other hand, India bowlers Ravindra Jadeja and Umesh Yadav will miss the opening games for their respective teams.
Both Umesh and Jadeja recently finished a gruelling Test season with the Indian team, playing a key role in the side’s prolific run of 10 wins in 13 match.
India skipper Virat Kohli is already doubtful for the starting games in the tournament, with Royal Challengers Bangalore coach Daniel Vettori saying that AB de Villiers would captain the side in case Kohli is unable to recover in time.
