Sushant Singh Rajput breathed his last in June 2020 amid the coronavirus pandemic after his sudden death by suicide which sent shockwaves through all of India with citizens, fans and celebrities urging for a deeper investigation into the actor's cause of death at his Bandra flat in Mumbai. Since that fateful June 14 evening, to very recently, the late Kedarnath actor's home has stayed vacant and gradually over the course of the year his family has moved the actor's prized possessions out of the plush, luxury apartment and have been looking for tenant to occupy the home where the brilliant actor, who was last seen on the silver screen in the Bollywood remake The Fault In Our Stars titled Dil Bechara alongside newcomer Sanjana Sanghi, spent his final days. Now after a year and a price drop, the flat has been put on the market to be rented out to anyone who can afford the whopping price tag on this stunning sea-facing apartment in suburban Mumbai.
As per media reports, this sea-facing house of Sushant Singh Rajput is located in Bandra's Jogger's Park neighbourhood in the elite Mont Blanc building. Sushant's stunning home is a duplex and spans over 3,600-sq ft, with a huge hall sprawling across the lower floor and three bedrooms on the floor above. His flat was on the six floor and even had three car parks. Sushant Singh Rajput had rented the apartment in December 2019 for ₹4.5 lakh per month. The actor was paying ₹4.51 lakh per month and had rented it in December 2019 (when the rent was ₹4.30 lakh per month) till December 2022 (when the rent was due to increase up to RS 4.74 lakh per month). Now the house is available on rent of ₹4 lakh per month after a drop in price as it has not been rented. And according to property brokers in the area, the flat has been available for rent in the market for at least six months now.
According to India Today, a celebrity broker shared, "The flat has been up in the market for a while now. After [the] second wave, we are witnessing a slowdown in big-ticket rentals. Also, the fact that Sushant stayed there, has been a deterrent. A few Bollywood personalities looking for [a] house were shown the flat, but they didn't opt for it. Landlords are also reluctant to rent flats to stars."
Talking about Sushant Singh Rajput's house to ETimes, a Bandra-based celebrity broker also said, "The apartment has been put on lease, but no tenant has been found yet. Due to the pandemic, not many people are even doing inquiries. Some interested people who came also inquired about Sushant Singh Rajput".
However, Sushant moved into this property a lot later and was staying there during the coronavirus lockdown. Before that he was staying in another stunning apartment which was also rented as Sushant did not want to get attached to material possessions.
In a video for Asian Paints' Beautiful Homes, the late actor is seen giving a tour of his home where he lived in 2018. In the video he reminisces about the day he chose to take the house, sharing, "I remember when I was actually making a decision of getting this house, I was shooting for a movie in Budapest. And I saw the video there and decided to get the house.”

On June 14, 2020, Sushant was found hanging in his room in the same house and it was later found out that he had passed away from suicide.
