Many celebrities tied the knot in 2021 and found their forever life partners. Other celebrities like Varun Dhawan and Natasha Dalal, Dia Mirza and Vaibhav Rekhi, Rhea Kapoor and Karan Boolani, Yami Gautam and Aditya Dhar, and more, tied the knot this year.
These stars celebrated their wedding festivities with close friends and family, away from the media glare. Others had grand functions to celebrate the biggest day of their lives. But what caught our eye was the stunning wedding trousseau of all these celebrity brides. Each of them looked absolutely breathtaking in their wedding jodas. So, as 2021 comes to an end, here's a look at the most beautiful celebrity brides (in no particular order) of this year.
Katrina Kaif was a true-blue Sabyasachi bride for her wedding with Vicky Kaushal. For the main ceremony, the star chose a traditional Indian red bridal lehenga in handwoven matka silk by the designer. It features fine tilla work and embroidered revival velvet zardozi borders. She paired it with a custom-trimmed veil made with handmade kiran, gold jewellery featuring uncut diamonds and hand-strung pearls, and gold kaleeras.
Ankita Lokhande married Vicky Jain in a Manish Malhotra golden lehenga intricately hand-embroidered in gold crystal beads and antique zardosi with geometric artwork. She paired the bridal joda with a sheer veil adorned in tassel detailing.
Patralekhaa and Rajkummar Rao tied the knot on November 15 in a grand ceremony in Chandigarh. She turned into a beautiful bride for her big day wearing a classic red tulle embroidered buti sari by Sabyasachi Mukherjee. She teamed it with an embroidered veil inscribed with a Bengali verse, penned by Sabyasachi. A choker necklace, matha patti, earring, nath, bangles, and bracelets in 22k gold with uncut diamonds, pearls and emeralds completed the accessories.
Sonam Kapoor's sister and Anil Kapoor's daughter, Rhea Kapoor, married Karan Boolani in an intimate wedding ceremony held in Mumbai. She chose a dreamy and classic white Anamika Khanna saree featuring tone-on-tone thread work. A half-sleeved blouse, a cape in tones of ivory and gold, and a veil crafted using thousands of tiny pearls completed Rhea's wedding look. She also wore pearl and Kundan jewellery pieces lent by her mother, Sunita Kapoor.
Yami Gautam married Uri director Aditya Dhar in June this year. The actor turned into a traditional Indian bride wearing a bright red saree featuring intricate gold work and broad borders. She wore it with a floral motif-adorned half-sleeve blouse and a stunning odhani. A regal gold choker set, maang tikka and kalire completed her wedding joda.
Designer Natasha Dalal tied the knot with actor Varun Dhawan at the beginning of the year. The couple kickstarted this year's wedding festivities with a bang. The bride stunned on her wedding day in a pale gold lehenga and emerald jewellery with a less-is-more beauty look.
Dia Mirza married Vaibhav Rekhi in February this year. The actor and activist's wedding joda reflected her simple elegance. She wore a traditional red Banarasi saree from Raw Mango for the special day. A floral silk blouse, customised organza odhani in red, heavy pearl choker, emerald and stone-encrusted earrings, mang tikka and handcrafted bracelets rounded off Dia's look.
Many brides chose the traditional red colour for their big day this year, and Shraddha Arya was one of them. For tying the knot with Rahul Nagal, the actor chose a regal gold and red lehenga set teamed with a zari odhani and vintage jewellery pieces.
