For a lifelong K-drama fan, a solo trip to South Korea can feel like stepping into a familiar world brought to life. Travel vlogger recounts her solo adventures in South Korea

“30 days solo in South Korea, a dream come true for a lifelong K-drama fan. Visiting Korea had been my childhood dream, and I finally made it happen. My only regret? Not going sooner,” she wrote.

During her month-long trip, Anjali explored different parts of the country, spending 10 days in Busan, three days in Gyeongju and the remaining time exploring Seoul. While she clicked countless photographs during her travels, she admitted that choosing which ones to share was not easy.

“These photos are just a few random ones from Seoul, honestly, I took so many that choosing which ones to share was impossible. So I just picked a handful at random,” she said.

From Korean food to cherry blossoms

Anjali said she wanted to experience South Korea beyond the typical tourist attractions and fully immerse herself in the local culture. “Believe me when I say it felt like living in a dream. I fully immersed myself in the culture: indulged in Korean food every day (ramen for 10 days straight!), wandered through the streets for hours, sang at karaoke bars, visited photo booths, met amazing people, fell in love with cozy cafes and even watched Coldplay,” she said.

Her itinerary combined sightseeing with spontaneous experiences, allowing her to experience Seoul at a slower pace. The city’s cafés, streets, food culture and entertainment became some of the highlights of her solo journey.

For Anjali, the timing of the trip made the experience even more magical, with cherry blossoms in full bloom during her visit. “Cherry blossoms were in full bloom, and every moment felt magical. I truly feel like I could live, stole my heart.”
