Lamba said she was not invited for any MLA meetings of the party in the last four months.

“For the last four months, I have been trying to get an appointment with the party leaders, but no one has responded. So, I have decided that I would not be campaigning for the party anymore,” she said. But, she said, she would continue serving the people of her constituency.

Earlier this month, Lamba had engaged in a fight with AAP’s Greater Kailash MLA and spokesperson Saurabh Bharadwaj over Twitter after she expressed that she was in favour of the AAP’s potential alliance with the Congress, the party which she was associated with before she joined the AAP, and also hinted that she would decide by April 25 on whether she would join the Congress. Bharadwaj, on Twitter, had asked her to resign from the party immediately, in an inquisitive tone.

“Whatever happened between me and my party, I would not let people (of her constituency) become prey of it. So I will continue to carry out development works for my people,” Lamba added.
