Man held for killing sister-in-law over property dispute
The accused and Annaparvati were fighting over the grocery store and the land surrounding it, which he inherited from his father

A 30-year-old man was held for killing his sister-in-law in Dahisar (West) around 10.30am on Saturday. The two had been engaged in a property dispute, said police.
According to the police, the accused runs a grocery store in Nava village in Dahisar. His brother Suresh lives on the first floor of the shop, with his wife Annaparvati, 32.
The accused and Annaparvati were fighting over the grocery store and the land surrounding it, which he inherited from his father. During the argument, the accused picked up a spade and hit Annaparvati on the head. She succumbed to severe head injuries at the Babasaheb Ambedkar hospital in Kandivli (West).
Based on Suresh’s complaint, the police registered a case of murder against the accused. He was subsequently taken into custody and placed under arrest. Police said the accused had fought with his other brother Govind too over the property.
