NEW DELHI: The Centre has withdrawn the paramilitary security cover to Amar Singh, newly-elected Rajya Sabha member from Uttar Pradesh, while asking the state government for a fresh threat assessment. The decision was taken at a meeting of the home ministry after which armed commandos of Central Industrial Security Force deployed with Singh were withdrawn earlier this week.
