Negi takes sole lead against Sangma

Local favourite and national champion Parimarjan Negi defeated International Master Rahul Sangma in the sixth round to emerge as the sole leader in the 9th Parsvnath International Open Grandmasters Chemss Tournament at Ludlow Castle here on Tuesday.

With his sixth victory on the trot, Negi remains the only player in the field to have won all his matches in the tournament so far.

Delhi Schools Win
Four Delhi school boys took the gold medal at the National Tennis Championship in the Under 17 category held in Pune, yesterday.

Vishu Prasad, Chetan Shashank, Karan Salwan and Anmol Sagar emulated their Under 14 counterparts, who also won the gold medal against Gujarat.

In the girl's competition, Vineeta Singh Nehal Sahni, Shivani Dabas, Samriti and Anukriti Chaudhry, representing Delhi schools, took the Under 17 top spot, while the Delhi team for under 19s qualified third.
