The video shows four men laughing and sexually assaulting the woman even as she is begging them to let her go. But it is not clear as to where and when the incident happened and who the culprits are.

Nobody has come forward with a complaint or any information regarding the crime.

Based on the language used by the men — which indicated Magadh region comprising Gaya and other districts — the state police headquarters, on receiving the video on WhatsApp on Friday, directed Gaya SSP Rajiv Mishra to register an FIR and launch a drive to nab the suspects.

Mishra said efforts are on to identify the accused and trace the victim. Police have also circulated the pictures of the five suspects among all station house officers (SHOs), chowkidars and people’s representatives so that the culprits could be identified.

Gaya police are also urging people to help identify the alleged rapists.

The CID has been directed to assist Gaya police in investigating the case.

The video comes close on the heels of another video of molestation and stripping of a minor girl by a group of 13 people, including minors, in Jehanabad last month. All the accused were arrested in the case.
