The 17th edition of the Hindustan Times Leadership Summit, at Taj Palace in New Delhi resumed after a break following the first half where speakers like PM Narendra Modi, Kumar Mangalam Birla, Cdr Abhilash Tomy and Netflix founder Reed Hastings covered a broad range of topics across disciplines. The theme for this year’s thought conclave is “Conversations for a better tomorrow”. The second half saw conversations by international chef Heston Blumenthal, champion swimmer Michael Phelps and actors Akshay Kumar and Kareena Kapoor Khan.

Michael Phelps opened up on taking up competitive swimming with Ayaz Memon. “I didn’t want to get my face wet, when I first got into water. Once I overcome my fear, it got really fun,” said Phelps. “My coach told me I could make the US Olympic team.
