You need to be firm in explaining the consequences if they don't behave properly. "If your child throws things or refuses to pick up the toys, then put them away for the rest of the day. Do not just melt away as the child is crying, and avoid giving them back. But, avoid being too harsh and take away his or her meal just because the baby is not listening," says Dr Kathwate.(Pexels)

Follow a properly set routine. It is not at all a good idea to just switch from one activity to another, abruptly. The children may get frustrated, bored, and stressed and refuse to participate. "Helicopter parenting can be annoying for children. Telling them constantly what to do and not do can be annoying. This can lead to bad behavior in toddlers. Let them be at ease," says Dr Kathwate.(Pexels)
