Guru Nanak Jayanti, also known as Guru Purab, is being celebrated across the country, with Sikh devotees offering prayers at nearby Gurudwaras. The festival commemorates the birth anniversary of Guru Nanak Dev, the first guru and founder of the Skih religion. On the eve of the festival, Sikh families participated in various rituals, including carrying procession and decorating all Gurudwaras. A special langar (community meal) will be organised at Gurudwaras as part of the Jayanti celebrations.
