During his visit, PM Modi was awarded Egypt's highest state honour, the 'Order of the Nile'. This marks the 13th time that PM Modi has been bestowed with the highest state honour from different countries worldwide. Over the past nine years, PM Modi has received numerous international awards, including the Companion of the Order of Logohu, Companion of the Order of Fiji, and the Ebakl Award by the Republic of Palau, among others.

Modi visited a 1,000-year-old mosque in Cairo which was recently restored with the help of India's Bohra community. PM said, "Honored to visit the historic Al-Hakim Mosque in Cairo. It's a profound testament to Egypt's rich heritage and culture." Modi was shown around the mosque whose latest restoration was completed about three months ago.
