Four more cases of dengue were confirmed in the city on Monday, taking the total number of cases to 88. While three patients, including 42-year-old from Haibowal Kalan, 7-year-old from Purana Bazar and 25-year-old from Ambedkar Nagar belonged to the city, a 59-year-old patient was from Hoshiarpur was also admitted at Dayanand Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) here on Monday.

Of total 88 dengue cases diagnosed at the city hospitals, 57 patients are from Ludhiana. District epidemiologist Dr Anil Verma said the symptoms of dengue were high fever with body pain, vomiting, restlessness, sleeplessness, and rashes. Bleeding was possible in severe cases.
He said the patient should visit nearby hospital if any such symptoms were appeared.

Use anti-mosquito nets to prevent dengue and malaria
Report suspected case of dengue to your nearest dispensary or hospital
