Orbit bus driver booked for rash driving

The Shahkot police have booked Orbit bus driver for driving rash on public road, causing grievous hurt by endangering life or personal safety of others and mischief. Station house officer (SHO) Manjit Singh said the accused has been identified as Mukhwinder Singh of Fide village in Ferozepur.

The Shahkot police have booked Orbit bus driver for driving rash on public road, causing grievous hurt by endangering life or personal safety of others and mischief. Station house officer (SHO) Manjit Singh said the accused has been identified as Mukhwinder Singh of Fide village in Ferozepur.

Sandeep Kumar of Malsian village lodged a complaint to the police that he was going to Shahkot on June 28 when the speeding bus hit his motorcycle injuring him seriously and smashing two-wheeler.

The SHO said a case under sections 279 (rash driving on public road) 337, 338 (causing grievous hurt by act endangering life or personal safety of others) and 427 (mischief) of the IPC has been registered against the accused. He said both parties have reached a compromise.
