Mersal, directed by Atlee and starring Vijay, released on October 18 and has received rousing reception from fans. The FDFS (First Day First Show) updates from fans on social media give us an idea about the expectations that were pinned on this Vijay film. From fans to film fraternity, everyone has been congratulating the team for the good work done.

There are videos from cinema halls with crackers, loud claps and whistles from the fans in the background. So far, the audience has given a positive response to the film and they are showing their love for the actor-director duo on Twitter and Facebook. Many have also mentioned that the film has crossed Theri in terms of the plot and entertainment.

People have also observed that Mersal is better than Theri, in fact they are calling it a one-man show. Vijay rules the film. So far, people haven’t specifically mentioned SJ Suryah’s performance, however, he plays the main antagonist in the film. Vadivelu and Kovai Sarala’s comedy has also been appreciated by the fans.

The film also stars Nithya Menon, Kajal Aggarwal and Samantha Akkineni in lead roles. Produced by Thenandal Studios, the film released after facing many hurdles and has also made the box office record for a non-Rajinikanth film in the US.
