Nayanthara starts shooting for Vijay’s next film, sets aside two months for it
Actor Vijay, last seen in AR Murugadoss’s Sarkar, is all set to essay the role of a coach in his next outing with director Atlee. The film, currently dubbed as Thalapathy 63, stars Nayanthara as the leading lady and sources from the unit have confirmed that she has started shooting for the project.
Nayanthara’s last film Viswasam was a major hit.
This is the second time Nayanthara has teamed up with Vijay after previously working together in Prabhudeva directed, Villu.
Having wrapped up all her current commitments, Nayanthara has set aside the next two months to shoot for her portion on this project.
The film, being produced by AGS Entertainment, was officially launched last November in Chennai. The film had a soft launch in the presence of Vijay, Atlee and the makers of the film. The regular shooting commenced from January 2019.
If the grapevine is anything to go by, Vijay plays a character called Michael in the film. He recently underwent training by a special physical trainer to get into the skin of the role.
There are also reports that Vijay plays the coach of a women’s team and sixteen women will star as sports players in the film.
It also stars Kathir, Yogi Babu and Vivek in crucial roles.
The film has music by AR Rahman, who had recently confirmed in an interview that he hasn’t worked on this film’s genre in south India.
“I have done this genre in Hollywood but this would be the first time in south India. Atlee is a fan of my films like Lagaan and Pele. He’s heard these soundtracks and he is musically very passionate. I enjoy working with such director who gets involved in music composing,” Rahman said in an interview to a popular entertainment portal.
