Pakistan says Brics member blocked participation in Beijing meeting

Though Foreign Office spokesperson Asim Iftikhar did not name the Brics member which blocked Pakistan’s participation in the high-level dialogue on global development on June 24, media reports in Pakistan cited sources as saying the country was India.

Brics leaders emphasise respect for sovereignty

The leaders of the Brics (Brazil, Russia, India, China, and South Africa) grouping on Thursday discussed the Ukraine conflict and the situation in Afghanistan, and stressed the need to peacefully resolve disputes and to respect the sovereignty and territorial integrity of all states.
