VAT on diesel doubled during SAD-BJP rule in Punjab, petrol too got dearer

There has been little change in these state rates under the Congress, with fuel prices shooting through the roof over the past year or so.

Need alternatives to check fuel price: CMs Fadnavis, Kumaraswamy and Amarinder

Petrol and diesel prices in Delhi have increased by 13% and 19% this calendar year so far. With expectations of further tightening in oil prices due to a mix of factors such as declining inventories in the US, and Iran sanctions coming into place, the trend of rising petroleum prices is likely to continue.

Euro-VI rollout: Delhi gets world’s cleanest petrol, diesel to combat air pollution

Oil minister Dharmendra Pradhan said the oil industry has shown its commitment to providing clean fuel and now it is time for the automobile industry to also start introducing Euro-VI vehicles.

Delhi to get cleaner Euro-VI petrol, diesel starting Sunday

Cities in the national capital region such as Noida, Ghaziabad, Gurugram and Faridabad as well as 13 major cities, will switch over to cleaner Euro-VI grade fuel from January 1 next year.
