Noida’s air quality ‘severe’ for fifth day

According to the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB) data, the air quality index (AQI) of Noida, on a scale of 0 to 500, was 407 on Tuesday against 422 on Monday, showing a marginal improvement. Similarly, Greater Noida recorded an AQI value of 405 against 422 a day earlier.

Noida had its air quality in the “severe” category on November 15, a day after Diwali, when large parts of the National Capital Region recorded high pollution.   Presence of PM 2.5 and PM 10 pollutants also remained high in the five neighbouring cities of Delhi, according to the air quality index (AQI) maintained by the Central Pollution Control Board (CPCB).
