Jennifer Lawrence was born in Indian Hills, Kentucky. During her childhood, she performed in church plays and school musicals. The actor made her lead film debut in the 2010 drama, Winter's Bone. She has since starred in many successful films, including X-Men: First Class, its sequel X-Men: Days of Future Past and American Hustle. She won Best Actress award at the 2013 Academy Awards for her performance in David O Russell's Silver Linings Playbook. She is the founder of Jennifer Lawrence Foundation which advocates for the Boys & Girls Clubs of America and the Special Olympics. She is married to Cooke Maroney.
