Love birds’ murder: Girl’s body exhumed from Ayodhya ghat

The body of her boyfriend was recovered from a sugarcane field around 1.5 km from the girl’s house on Tuesday, on the disclosure of the girl’s father and brother who were arrested on suspicion after the youth was reported to be missing.

Missing bike plaint unravels couple’s plot to kill daughter

The throat-slit body of the girl was found near a pond in Saholi village on Saturday but cops failed to ascertain the deceased’s identity for nearly three days; a complaint about a missing motorcycle by a villager gave cops a breakthrough in the murder case, which was solved within a few hours with the arrest of the girl’s parents

Prayagraj: Seven cattle smugglers held, 60 animals rescued

Police in Nawabganj rescued 60 cattle and arrested seven smugglers in two raids, with the animals found stuffed in containers en route to slaughter.
