Rubina Dilaik to replace Shivshakti in Jeannie Aur Juju?

The makers have finally zeroed in on Giaa Manek’s replacement in the comedy show

To replace Giaa Manek, who quit the comedy show Jeannie Aur Juju, the makers auditioned Shivshakti Sachdeva for the role. But, apparently, it didn’t work out. They then began looking for another actor and now, have zeroed in on Rubina Dilaik. She will be seen on the show next week onwards.

Ask Rubina about replacing Giaa and she says, “It’s not a replacement. I play a new genie.” In an upcoming episode, Jeannie’s (Giaa) magic will go wrong and she will be seen with a new face. “Replacement would be playing the same role. This will be the next chapter on the show. It will be a different person. However, the mannerisms might be the same,” adds Rubina.

It was reported that the show will end in the next two months and apparently, Giaa was leaving as her work schedule didn’t leave her with time to take up anything else. Rubina, who was recently replaced in Punar Vivaah 2, says, “It was destined perhaps. When I quit the show, the track was going nowhere and what was promised didn’t happen. Later, when the makers brought Divya (her character on the show) back, I was already playing Sita in Mahadev. That’s why I couldn’t take it up.”

But the actor accepts that what happened was for the best. She says, “Had it not, I wouldn’t have got roles I am doing. I enjoyed playing different roles as an actor and I am looking forward to doing comedy on this show.”
