#ICYMI: Woman Burnt Alive For Dowry In Kanpur

In a horrifying incident in Kanpur on Thursday, a newly married woman was burnt alive for not fulfilling the demands of dowry by her in laws. The Victim was admitted to the hospital by the police where she succumbed to 90 % burn injuries. Victim Priya got married to Pradeep Tripathi, a Software Engineer on July 10, 2016 and was residing with him in Dabauli area of Kanpur. Priya had alleged that Pradeep and his family were harassing her for the demand of 2 gold chains, Rs. 2 lakh and 1 car.
