Jurgen Klopp relieved after Liverpool snap losing streak
Liverpool bounced back from two successive defeats with a 3-0 Premier League win at Huddersfield Town on Tuesday to open up a five-point gap over their rivals for a top four finish. Emre Can and Roberto Firmino put fourth-placed Liverpool ahead before a late Mohamed Salah penalty as they moved clear of Tottenham Hotspur, who host Manchester United on Wednesday.
Speaking after the match, Jurgen Klopp expressed a sense of relief. “”We had a few fantastic situations. Pretty early in the game, Robbo (Andy Robertson) was in behind; Mo Salah pretty much alone; a similar situation for Sadio (Mane) twice, I think one time he was alone with a header. So we had more moments than three goals. But it was difficult to play because they (Huddersfield) defended well. So, happy about the result, 100 per cent, and most parts of the performance as well (Video credit: SNTV).”
