‘Vodafone Idea will shut shop if no relief from govt’: KM Birla at #HTLS2019

Kumar Mangalam Birla, Chairman of Aditya Birla Group, commented on the troubles being faced by the telecom sector. Speaking on the Supreme Court decision regarding AGR payment by telecom firms to the government, Birla said that it would be difficult for companies to pay such enormous amounts in a matter of three months. He also said that the joint venture of Vodafone Idea would be forced to 'shut shop' if the government doesn't provide any relief.
