It was one of the coldest days in Delhi, but that also failed to deter protesters who gathered at Jama Masjid in north Delhi to express their discontent against the Citizenship (Amendment) Act or CAA. The protesters, many of whom gathered after offering Friday prayers at the mosque, raised slogans against the new legislation and the proposed National Register of Citizens (NRC). The protesters, who were carrying placards that read 'Save the Constitution, don't divide India', appealed to the people to remain non-violent.
