‘Situation under control now’: Delhi cop on violent protest | Citizenship law

Delhi Police claimed that the situation was under control after violence was witnessed at a protest against the recent amendments to India's Citizenship law. Vehicles had been set afire in an act of extreme vandalism. Protestors had also pelted stones at the police, who had countered with tear gas and lathicharge. DCP, South-East Delhi, Chinmoy Biswal said that violence broke out after the protestors were stopped from proceeding to Delhi's Ring Road area.
