Devotees of different faiths throng urs at Hazrat Rehmatullah

The death anniversary of a Sufi saint is known as Urs. The followers Sufism believe that after death,Sufi saints are united with the almighty. An Urs is usually held at a saint's dargah or mausoleum,and is celebrated with great fanfare. One such celebration takes place every year in Bavankher in Mahasamund district of Chattisgarh. The Urs of Sufi saint Hazrat Syed Zakir Shah Qadir Rehmatullah attracts devotees from across the country to his dargah.
