Devotees take holy dip on the occasion of Magh Purnima

Hundreds of devotees today took holy dip in River Ganges, on the occasion of Magh Purnima, the full moon of the Hindu month of 'Magha', during the ongoing Kumbh Mela. People gathered near the riverbanks in Haridwar before dawn, and began bathing as soon as the sun rose. On 'Magh Purnima' day, several festivals of religious significance take place along the banks of holy rivers like the Ganga, Yamuna, and several others in the country.
