DMK holds council meeting in Chennai

DMK members started the two-day general council and executive council meet in Coimbatore on Saturday. This is DMK's first official gathering, after its defeat in the 2011 Assembly elections and Kanimozhi's arrest in 2G scam case. The meeting also comes at time when relations with its ally Congress are showing signs of a strain. A big issue that came to the forefront at the meeting was the face-off between Karunanidhi's two sons, Stalin and Azhagiri
