Refuting Prime Minister's economic advisor Kaushik Basu's comment that economic reforms are unlikely before 2014 elections, the minister for state in the PM office, Narayanasamy said that economic development is an ongoing process. He said that the government was engaged in building a sound economy but the global recession had come as a setback.
