Finance Minister meets heads of the state run banks

Indian finance minister Palaniappan Chidambaram met the heads of the state run banks in the national capital on Tuesday. The meeting was held to review the liquidity situation in the country. The meeting came a day after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh met the captains of Indian industry, who wanted the government to take steps to enhance liquidity.
