Flood situation critical in West Bengal

Situation in West Bengal continues to be critical with rivers flowing above the danger level and leaving hundreds of thousands of people marooned. According to reports, more than two million people have been stranded during the current spell of floods in the two districts. Authorities said rescue operations are being speeded up. But according to the opposition parties, the rescue work is moving at a snail's pace.
