India's interior (home) minister Palaniappan Chidambaram on Wednesday reviewed the security scenario in Kashmir with state chief minister Omar Abdullah ahead of national polls beginning next month. Chidambaram chaired a high-level meeting in Jammu, ahead of the five phased parliamentary elections between April 16 and May 13. Chidambaram said that the forces were ready to ensure peaceful polls in the restive region.
