Govt threatens to strip Rathore of medal

The Centre has started the process to withdraw the police medal given to convicted former Haryana Director General of Police SPS Rathore, Home Secretary G K Pillai said. Meanwhile, women's rights group in Haryana protested the decision of only a six-month prison term and a penalty of only 1,000 rupees to Rathore and asked called for a review of the law.
