Well known as the Turbunator amongst opponents, Harbhajjan Singh has established his position as a strong spinner in the Indian team after being criticized during the initial phase of his career. Also known as Bhajji, he was born on 3rd July 1980 and is a specialist off spin bowler as well as a useful tail ender batsman. He made his Test and One Day International debuts in early 1998 in the presence of veteran Javagal Srinath. Bhaji was trained to be a pace bowler at an academy in Chandigarh. He showed his grit in The Border-Gavaskar Trophy where he took 32 wickets in the series and became the first ever Indian to take a hat-trick in test cricket and has the second-highest number of Test wickets by an off spinner behind Sri Lanka's Muttiah Muralitharan. . He has taken more wickets than any other Indian off-spinner in the ODI history. Harbhajan is an attacking bowler who is known for his ball control and ability to vary his length and pace.
