Normal life was crippled as high tides from the Arabian Sea and heavy rains hit several parts of Mumbai on Thursday. Heavy downpour led to water logging in suburbs and lower parts of the city. Around 5 meters high tidal waves hit several parts of the coast including Colaba, Navy Nagar, Varsova, Dadar, Shivaji Park, Bandra Band Stand and Gateway of India. Houses of residents living near the seashore were inundated.
