Loan waiver scam: BJP rejects PAC investigation, CPI (M) demands CBI probe

The BJP has rejected the Prime Minister Manmohan Singh's logic of probing farm debt waiver scam from public accounts committee. Senior leader of BJP Prakash Javadekar said on Thursday said that the PM's logic is irrelevant as the PAC is not a criminal investigation and hence would only address the systemic issues of the scam. Meanwhile, CPI (M) Leader, Sitaram Yechury demanded stringent investigation by the CBI under the supervision of judiciary.
