Mahatma Gandhi’s face on gold coins

The father of nation, Mahatma Gandhi still holds a precious place in every Indian's heart. And now a manufacturing company in Coimbatore has imprinted the face of Bapu on gold coins ahead of Akshaya Tritiya, a key-gold buying festival, which would be held early next week. Locals in the city congregated at jewellery stores to buy gold coins for one of the most auspicious days of the year.
