Nine killed in mine explosion in UP

At least nine labourers were feared dead and two critically injured in an explosion at an illegal stone quarry mine at Obra village in Sonbhadra, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday. Locals rushed to the spot and rescue operations were initiated immediately. Ramesh, an eyewitness, told Asian News International that the mine was functioning illegally for the past several years.
