RBI to decide further rates hike: Pranab

Finance Minister Pranab Mukherjee in Kolkata on Sunday said that the Reserve Bank of India would decide on a further hike in its lending and borrowing rates at the quarterly review meeting on July 27. Talking about the meeting with the Chief Ministers of Western and Central Zone states, along with the heads of the public sector banks, Mukherjee said the objective of the meeting was to identify the problems in the grassroot-level transactions.
