Sarpanch slaps woman teacher in Punjab

In a shocking incident, a Sarpanch was on Monday caught on camera slapping a woman, in front of dozens of policemen. The Sarpanch-Baljinder Singh, belongs to the Shiromani Akali Dal. The woman, a teacher by profession, was reportedly asking for a permanent job. The teacher who was hit was part of a crowd that was waiting to meet Harsimrat Kaur Badal- an Akali Dal MP and the Chief Minister's daughter-in-law. However, the sarpanch refused to let them enter the venue.
